“You cannot swim for new horizons until you have courage to lose sight of the shore.”
Personally
An adopted child of the closed 1975 era, I was born in Shropshire, England where I lived for over 40 years before answering my calling to be in New Zealand.
As a survivor of early attachment trauma, I experienced emotional stress, nervous system challenges, and self-negating patterns. My high sensitivity and attunement to psychic frequencies, often expressed through paranormal experiences and a range of clair-abilities, made me deeply empathetic and emotionally vulnerable in an environment lacking personal accountability. Reclaiming that sensitivity and recognising that my experiences did not define me led me back to myself - and ultimately the meaning of my life purpose.
I take a heart-centered, trauma-aware approach discussed below, and whilst I have strong intuition and empathy, I remain grounded. I value respect, integrity, service, mutual support and excellence. Formerly a volunteer Youth Mentor with the Graeme Dingle Foundation and a member of Toastmasters International, I’ve long held the drive to provide support that makes a difference to someone’s life choices. My focus lies in helping people develop confidence that influences the way they respond in life, specifically within the areas of intuition, personal boundaries, reconnection, identity, self worth, expression, creativity and emotional stability.
Learning the art of speaking, listening and thinking are all vital skills in promoting self actualisation and understanding. I’m an avid book-reader, life-long learner and commit to ongoing personal and professional development that supports my own evolution.
Approach
My approach is grounded in over 35 years of professional experience, five decades of life on this planet, and more than a few spiritual hangovers from past lifetimes. It’s rooted in intuitive clair-gifts, reality, action, and the integration of my qualifications across coaching, ACT, NLP, and holistic modalities.
As a certified coach working independently in private practice, I follow professional and ethical standards. While I’m not a licensed mental health professional by choice, my trauma-informed approach allows me to hold space with care. If needed, I may recommend or help you find therapeutic support appropriate to your path.
I blend research-backed insight with intuitive clarity, often delivered with grounded humour and always with approachability. My style draws from somatic practices, trauma sensitivity, attachment theory, and spirituality. I hold a Level 4 coaching diploma recognised by the Association for Coaching, and although I’ve stepped back from formal membership due to their organisational changes, I remain aligned with their ethics and standards which I consider important in an unregulated industry.
I respect the work and influence of trauma-sensitive mindfulness and spiritual practices, and draw from the teachings of pioneers whose contributions have shaped my approach. These include the psychological and psychotherapeutic insights of Matthew McKay, David Treleaven, Russ Harris, Peter Levine, Babette Rothschild, Pat Ogden, Nathaniel Branden, Julia Cameron, and Susan Anderson, as well as the mineralogical, spiritual and past life regression work of Michael Newton, Paul Gilbert, Judy Hall, and the guidance of my own mentors and coaches.
