“I am both student and teacher. My intuition flows, my fire inspires, my wisdom expands, and my service grounds. I am a vessel for wisdom, not the source; what passes through me serves and keeps me evolving.”
Mission Statement
I’m Alison, founder of Soulchology. Originally from Shropshire, England, I now live in New Zealand, where I blend decades of professional experience with intuitive awareness to help you navigate life’s complexities.
I created Soulchology to bridge the gap between spiritual escapism and rigid systems that stifle individuality and perpetuate cycles of self-abandonment. My work specialises in the symbolic exploration of ancestral lineage - the patterns, archetypes, and inherited narratives that shape identity and choice - to restore the balance between respect for others and self-autonomy.
Soulchology is a living practice where ancient languages meet evidence-based psychological and therapeutic tools. We explore astrological signatures, card symbology, and numerological expression to uncover hidden influences before translating those insights into ACT-based skills and daily practices to support the changes you choose. The aim is to reconnect you with your intuitive knowing, identify your core values, and turn awareness into embodied transformation.
Ultimately, Soulchology transforms inherited conditioning into conscious awareness, turning life’s challenges into catalysts for growth and self-responsibility - empowering you to author your own story and end generational repetition.
Background & Approach
As an adopted child of the closed-era 1970s, early attachment and abandonment experiences deepened my sensitivity and emotional awareness. Naturally attuned to subtle energies, I’ve experienced paranormal phenomena and psychic abilities since childhood. Over time, I learned to channel this sensitivity with discernment, transforming it into a guiding strength rather than a defining wound.
With over fifty years of personal and professional experience and over 10,000 coaching hours, my approach is heart-centered and trauma-aware. Sessions combine intuitive guidance with evidence-based methods such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and somatic awareness. While I’m not a licensed mental health professional by choice, my trauma-informed practice ensures care, integrity, and appropriate referral where needed.
I’m committed to making support accessible whilst maintaining professional standards and authenticity. Session investments reflect this commitment; are intentionally accessible for Australasian clients and highly cost-effective for those internationally.
My professional journey also includes volunteering as a Youth Mentor with the Graeme Dingle Foundation and participation in Toastmasters International, reflecting my dedication to service, confidence-building, and community contribution. A lifelong learner and researcher, I continue to evolve my practice to better serve others, integrating emerging understanding with lived experience.
An Independent Path of Esoteric Study and Purpose
Beyond the formal studies I mention below, I chose to pursue the Esoteric Arts independently - a path aligned with my natal purpose and shaped by my observation and personal experience. Through years of reflection, research, and hands-on engagement with the symbolic arts, my approach honours insight and discernment over rigid frameworks, guiding the way I interpret and share these systems in my readings.
Self-taught in Astrology, Tarot, Lenormand, and Numerology, my work has been enriched by teachers such as Steven Forrest, Pam Gregory, Liz Greene, and Barbara Hand Clow, among countless other pioneers. Whilst I honour their teachings, my work is grounded in personal exploration, direct engagement, and an ongoing dialogue with life and the beyond.
I value formal education; however, I don’t believe the intuitive and holistic arts should be commercialised or confined by academic gatekeeping. ‘Back in the day’, I spent cringe-tastic amounts of money on ‘certificates’ in crystals, energy healing, and similar modalities - learning nothing I hadn’t already gained naturally or from books, all whilst believing I needed to be ‘certified’ to practise. Pick up a book, feel the energy, and learn to trust your own instincts. You should never need a ‘certificate’ to practise these skills - they’re an innate language of the soul, not a credential to be earned. Real wisdom grows through experience, humility, and attentive observation, not through systems that profit from spiritual curiosity.
We live in a world where fear of independent thought has become an epidemic - and, unsurprisingly, it’s often exploited and marketed. Too many people are afraid to trust their own judgement, and that hesitation has become a booming industry. Independent thought is in short supply, and someone is more than happy to sell you a roadmap, package it in a certificate, or convince you that you can’t practise your own intuition without formal validation. Soulchology, by contrast, focuses on an independent path and draws deeply from symbolism - astrology, among other systems, helps highlight the general lineage and inherited patterns shaping your life, so you can recognise and break the cycles that may have kept you dependent on external authority. In this climate, learning to trust yourself is revolutionary - and a far better teacher than any overpriced workshop or ‘certification’ could ever be.
My work stands as an example of stepping away from institutions that commodify the natural abilities we all possess. I do not certify anyone - session investments reflect my professionalism, studies, experience, and dedicated time to read, guide, and coach you. By following my own path and the insights it’s revealed, I demonstrate it’s possible to live authentically, trust your inner discernment, and find your own clarity through symbolic guidance.
