22. The Fool 22
-
Welcome to Soulchology’s worksheets, your starter-kit into an intuitive self-enquiry using tarot and astrology. I write these in my usual dry humour, which reflects the tone of my sessions too, because learning is intense enough without stripping it of humanity. A little wit makes the wisdom easier to digest!
Anyway, while full sessions include numerology, Lenormand, and therapeutic layers, these worksheets are your solo starter kit designed to get you going without frying your nervous system.
Grab your deck, take a breath and don’t overthink it. No altar required. You can read these on your lap, mid-commute, or in bed with questionable lighting. If you know current transits, great, add them in. If not, the cards still work because they’re generous like that.
And, if you shuffle really fast, they love to fling out like you’re live in an episode of Ghosts and Trevor is standing next to you.
Each sheet prompts you to connect the cards with your real life, that is, not your aspirational, one-day-when-I-journal-daily life. Pay attention to the artwork, colours, symbols, and emotional tone because tarot is layered, not linear. Study only what leaps out, don’t go looking for clues.
This isn’t about mystical perfection, it’s about noticing yourself. Your thoughts, your choices, your patterns. If you’re new to tarot and feeling twitchy about it, you might want to read my piece on Substack that gently dismantles the pressure.
My advice is to pull (or fling) your card at the end of the day, not first thing. That way, you’re reflecting and not pre-loading your brain with vague forecasts. It’s a faster way to build intuitive confidence and a more honest way to learn what the cards actually mean to you.
i. The Nutshell
The Tarot major arcana, comprising 22 cards, holds profound symbolism and wisdom. Among these archetypes, the Fool card traditionally represents new beginnings, spontaneity, and taking risks. However, in some modern decks, a second Fool card has emerged at the end of the major arcana. The inclusion of this card represents an expansion of the Fool's journey and signifies a deeper level of spiritual growth and transformation. It suggests that even after completing the traditional cycle of the major arcana, there is still more to learn and experience. This card encourages individuals to continue exploring new paths and possibilities with an open mind and a sense of adventure. This worksheet lightly explores the meanings of this card, known as The Fool 22, shedding light on its unique interpretation.
Upright
Welcome to the after party of your own becoming because this card is often seen as the ‘Omega Fool,’ or a post-graduation encore and earned clarity. The Fool 22 is your cosmic “I did the thing!” moment where all the turbulence, elegance, curve-balls, and personal re-brands knit themselves into something surprisingly wearable. You’ve survived your own myth and now you’re living your magic.
This card represents acceptance of your struggles and the lessons learned, so take your seat at the table you built. You’ve looped the loop, and now you get to be. And here’s where that magic deepens: soul family can start arriving - those rare, electric connections who mirror, magnetise, challenge and expediate your growth. These are the unions that alchemise your journey’s rough stone into radiant gold. As the first draft of your major arcana life lessons settles, these soul connections help integrate the chapters you’ve lived and work with what follows. In essence, The Fool 22 is where The Fool meets the World, nods, and then curiously asks, “So what’s next?” - inviting both you and your tribe to co-create the unfolding story ahead.
Keywords: Integration, mastery, post-journey awareness, embodied truth, next-level readiness, wholeness
Translation: You’re the ultimate challenge and the reward.
Reversed
The reversed 22 Fool card offers a fresh perspective on the traditional Fool, reminding us that even when we feel accomplished, there's still a lot more to learn and think about. When The Fool 22 appears in reverse, it signals a period of inertia or quiet complacency where comfort subtly blocks growth. It invites a look at where you’ve become too settled, and where the familiar now limits your evolution. There may be blind spots: overconfidence, inattention, or dismissed insights that call for a broader, more mindful perspective before moving forward. This card can also feel like the rolling credits on a movie you’re still emotionally filming - you’ve come full circle, but you’re ghosting your own arrival. Maybe you’re waiting for someone to declare it “done,” or maybe you’re allergic to closure because your identity was forged in the climb. Whatever the case, you’re lingering in the hallway when the door’s already open.
This reversal tends to show up when you’re stalling at the end of a cycle, dragging your feet through the confetti. Maybe there’s a final thread you’re refusing to weave in - an unsent message, a withheld truth, or a disowned part of yourself that hasn’t been included? Or maybe stepping into your next chapter feels threatening, like you’ll lose the grit, or independence that got you here? Resistance to change may also take subtler forms: a re-emergence of outdated beliefs, default habits, or rigid structures that mask a new set of fears. The reversed Fool 22 signals a call to face the shadows of the shadow-self! This offers a potent opportunity to recalibrate. Progress here looks like pausing, reflecting, and re-engaging with your path as someone who's made the full loop and is ready to start the next chapter with the alignment of the Chariot and the alchemy of Temperance
Keywords: Resistance, stagnation, complacency, identity, threshold-fear, near-success paralysis, emotional backlog, story loop
Translation: You’ve already arrived to the after-party with so much wisdom, so stop hiding in the gift bag.
ii. Illus-traits
A symbolic glance at The Fool 22 in the Linescape Tarot Evolution Gold deck:
Golden Line Fetus – This isn’t the Fool setting out; it’s the Fool returning—rewired, rewilded, and still becoming. The single unbroken line etching the fetus speaks to the continuity of the soul’s evolution: no part of the journey wasted, every misstep looped into meaning. You’re not starting over—you’re starting truer.
Rising Sun – A new dawn that doesn’t erase the night but integrates it. This is consciousness cracking open, and not in a subtle way. It’s the soul’s sunrise: that moment when the light hits, the fog lifts, and you realise you’ve been gestating wisdom this whole time.
Ocean Below – Emotion, depth, memory. The subconscious still holds you, but you’re no longer swimming in it—you’re rising from it. This is emergence with perspective, a final push out of the waters of becoming and into the air of being.
Purple Tones – The whole card hums in shades of intuition and higher knowledge. Purple isn’t just regal—it’s psychic. This is deep inner authority without the need for external permission. You’re dialled in, beyond logic, beyond approval. Think crown chakra with a side of “don’t test me.”
Clearing Darkness – The night is lifting, but it’s not rejected—it’s included. This isn't escape from shadow; it’s integration of it. The darkness is part of the gradient. It made the sunrise matter.
iii. Influences
Planetary
Unlike The World, which graduates under the maturity of Saturn, The Fool 22 has transcended the classroom entirely. This is post-structure and post-proving energy. All the planets can be seen in The Fool 22, but if there were assigning planets they could be the spiritual echo of Neptune as the soul-level reintegration, with the Sun since this new version of the Fool rises and is the what’s next, together with Mars who actualises leading with the rebranded identity.
Natal House(s)
The Fool 22 may linger between the 10th and the 11th (best Charlatans album ever imo), being more peak than climb. And, if the MC represents your legacy, this card could signify the encore after the main show, as you reflect on who you now are, and how and why you’re sharing your message. Having built it, you’re now sharing it and living it. There's also resonance with the 12th house of dissolution, transcendence and soul memory. You're no longer focused on how the world sees you because you're observing your own growth from a higher perspective.
Astrological Sign(s)
Where The World contains all four fixed signs (Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, Aquarius), The Fool 22 releases the wheel entirely. It carries the memory of them but it’s no longer bound by their structure. If anything, this is Pisces energy: mutable, mystical and vast. Being the final sign of the zodiac, Pisces blurs the limits and embraces the entire journey.
Numerologically
As card 22, this Fool has gone from zero to hero as a Master Number - specifically, the “Master Builder,” who takes the intuitive root energy of the 11 and builds the intuitive empire with it. 22 is the connector between spirit and structure, vision and reality. While 0 was the blank slate, 22 is the plan that’s come alive. It’s still the Fool, but this time, the Fool knows the terrain, trusts the process and isn’t tripped up by any stones on the path.
The Master Number 22
As an additional note, it’s important to differentiate the Master Number energies since they’re too mission-focused to bypass. The Master Number 22 is the architect of what matters and scales the heights of innovation. It’s here to build. While 11 sees the vision, 22 rolls up its sleeves and pours the concrete, all the time holding the vision firm. Often called the “Master Builder,” 22 is the divine design, sourcing everything from materials to management to the entire meta-and-physical construction. This number turns soul-level knowing into a lived form for impact and legacy that change the world.
The lesson of 22 is about having a grand vision and the obligation to fulfill it. Just because you can doesn’t mean you should. This number can sometimes feel like being born with the sketch to a cathedral you haven’t yet developed the emotional skeleton to see through. There’s an intense pull to “make something meaningful,” but also the pressure of knowing that half-hearted effort won’t cut it. 22 demands discernment: what’s worth building, what’s worth letting go, and what’s distracting you from starting to dig.
Master 22 energy tends to be composed and deliberate. If you’re a 22, you might feel like you’re carrying something big inside such as a lifelong project, purpose, or calling that doesn’t always make sense in a world obsessed with shortcuts. It can feel lonely, slow, or even anticlimactic at times. But when 22 energy clicks, it brings a rare sense of rightness - like the bones of your life are aligned.
What are you here to build? Well, you want to anchor your growth into systems, structures, businesses, art, frameworks - anything that lasts. You are sensitive and empathetic, but not overly so because your intuition has practical direction focussed on sustainability and what it’s serving. However, building your intuition is just as crucial as that physical project if you’re going complete your mission.
As a child, you’re a walking vision. You can see it in your mind’s eye like you’re driving a helicopter around a 360 third eye. A toddler can knock out the Sydney Opera House from Duplo, and an older child is building Lego made for world champion adult builders. You spend your life trying to put into words how you see something, which can be frustrating when your language hasn’t caught up with your innovation. If someone kicks over a Master Number 22’s sandcastle, you’d better run for cover since they don’t understand the temporary nature of sand and will get upset at their disappearing monument since they built it to last. You may be very confident and find others want you to lead. Which is great, because you were born to lead. Watch out for others who may be jealous of this energy. Parents - work to understand your Master Number child because this kid has gifts to nurture, a mission to accomplish, and they chose you to give them the best foundation to do so.
Elements
The Fool 22 has made peace with all the elements and is post-elemental. You were Earth, Water, Fire, and Air, and now you’re the breath between them. If anything, this card leans toward ether: the fifth element of the great connector. It's the energy of all your experiences, shaping who you are.
iv. A Day in the Life of The Fool 22
Well That Escalated Quickly
You’ve reached the final scene but missed the cue. The lights are up, everyone’s clapping, but you’re still backstage re-alphabetising your emotional prop list, wondering wait - was that it? You feel incomplete, like baking a cake but not adding the icing because you think it's unnecessary. Existential, quantum lag hits hard. You’re one download away from enlightenment, but your soul's bandwidth is not playing ball. So you’re binging productivity hacks and avoiding closure like it’s gluten.
Adjusting the Knobs
You’ve stopped eyeballing other people’s milestones and started honouring your own perfectly imperfect not-how-you-thought-it-should-be shaped progress. You’re still flapping than gliding, but you’re less “figuring it out” and more “OK with not knowing.” You’ve replaced your inner monologue with gentle troubleshooting and discovered that pause is integration. You’re learning that alignment can mean not yelling at your reflection today.
Unsubscribed from Self-Sabotage
You're no longer trying to exit life through the gift shop. You’ve survived enough divine detours to know when you’re in a re-run. You no longer log out of self-awareness mid-update and you’re not chasing closure anymore because it’s the technicolour coat you’re wearing. You’re able to say “no” without a four-paragraph justification, and say “yes” without the fear of jinxing it. You’re not done becoming, but you trust who’s steering and it’s no longer the version of you who panic-buys crystals during a waning moon.
Writing the TED Talk
You’re happy in your own skin, flaws and all. People assume you’ve cracked the code, but really, you’ve just gotten really creative with your whoops-a-daisies, and figured out how to turn the loose pebbles into stepping stones. You live your blooper reel with pride, have dumped the cliches and are simply bobbing your head to the steady rhythm of life with a PhD in turning what you notice into something workable.
v. Working with these Energies
The Encore
The Fool 22 stretches, yawns, and casually ascends. This is the soul’s sunrise after a long night of shapeshifting, and it’s the card that knows you weren’t born to become someone else.
You’re the Sunrise
When was the last time you allowed yourself to be present without planning your next self-improvement? Who were you trying to become five versions ago, and are you already them minus the hashtags?Defrag the Downloads Folder
You know that unresolved story you keep rehearsing in the background like an emotional voicemail you won’t delete, just in case? It’s taking up your nervous system bandwidth. What needs a quiet goodbye rather than a grand finale? This card says closure doesn’t need to be cinematic. Sometimes, the most powerful endings are the muted ones. The "I understand now" ones. The ones that don’t demand explanation.Concept to Code
What lessons have you learned well, and which ones do you need to let go of? How can you trust your nervous system knows what safety feels like so it can stop running the survival mode software?Legacy as Mood
You're relevant… and your presence is proof. That’s enough. Your experiences have moved through reason, season, and now entering lifetime. All your wisdom is an accumulation of good, bad and ugly - to use with hindsight, now. Think about the threads that bind… the consistency and focus point to your evolution, and why that matters. The Main Event
You’re in the scene. What practices help you show up for that reality? What if this version of you is not the trailer? You’ve made it through the dress rehearsal, the lights are rising and now you’re about to do your best with what you’ve learned - and that is always going to be good enough.
vi. Building Skills
The Fool 22 practices being present every day. Even when you’re spiraling down rabbit holes in track-pants with unwashed hair and three tabs of existential dread open. Below are ACT-aligned ways to live the energy of Fool 22 without needing to become a monk (south node conjunct Neptune in your natal chart) or a motivational meme.
Practice Present-Moment Awareness for Co-creation
Name the Now
Set a timer and pause three times a day to ask: “Where am I, what am I doing, and who am I being?” Drop out of autopilot and into presence. This is the heart of The Fool 22 - remembering that your life is already happening and it exists now, not yesterday or tomorrow. During moments of doubt or distraction, place a hand on your chest and say: “I am here. This is real. This is enough.” Grounding yourself in now is how you stop reliving ghosts or rehearsing breakdowns.
Defuse Your Inner Narrator
Observe your Mind, Don’t Arm-Wrestle It
That voice telling you you’re not done yet, not worthy yet, not wise enough? That’s just the ego mind doing its thing because it’s having a throwback to before. ACT says to name it. Call it “The Committee” or anything you like, and say, “Thanks for your opinion”, and get back to living. Yes your ego has a job to keep you alive, but you get to decide with discernment and self trust whether it’s being a drama queen from a previous decade. When perfectionism or fear of success kicks in, label the thought: “Ah, here’s the ‘Not Good Enough’ script again.” You’re the observer, not that script. Fool 22 energy doesn’t buy into its own propaganda.
Embody Completion
Behave As If You’re There
Move as someone who’s a complete project. This is where ACT’s Committed Action principle kicks in. You don’t need to feel ready, you need to act from your values. Who are you if you already trust yourself? Choose one small action each day that reflects your next chapter rather than your old script. Answer the email. Say the “No.” Wear the outfit. Wholeness is a choice you’re choosing.
Re-clarify Your Values
Lead with your Values
The Fool 22 is conscious evolution so your values are how you navigate your daily life without wearing blinkers to your own hard-won growth. Ask: “What matters to me now?” and “How do I live that today?” Write a “No Longer” list, and a “Now I Know” list. What no longer fits your integrated self? What are you choosing to honour going forward? Let these lists become your behavioural compass, i.e. your North Node.
Accept + Allow
Make Space for the Meh
Integration isn’t sexy. It’s repetitive, boring, and occasionally confusing. ACT teaches experiential acceptance, i.e. letting discomfort exist without trying to avoid it. The Fool 22 knows: the soul doesn’t need to be happy to be whole because joy is the default and you’re here to experience the full spectrum of emotion. No emotion is right or wrong; it’s what you choose to do with that emotion that points to such. Next time you feel restless in your “over iiittttt,” sit with it. Label the feeling (anxious, unsure, bored) and breathe into it without changing it. Let the “meh” be part of your magic. No edits. No erasing. Working with Fool 22 means you stop chasing meaning and start creating it. One moment, one value, one grounded action at a time.
vii. Embodiment
If you’ve spent years bracing for the next emotional smack-down or waiting for life’s invoice to arrive, The Fool 22’s calm can feel suspicious. Like, “Is this a hoax?” No - this is the real deal.
Smell:
What does arrival actually smell like? Maybe it’s sun-warmed skin, salty ocean breeze, or that oddly comforting scent of laundry flapping on the line. Breathe it in. This is peace you don’t have to question. You’re allowed to trust it.
Body:
Where does that “I’ve arrived” feeling settle in your body? Spine, standing tall and unshakable? Chest, casual but open like it’s been carrying a now-shared secret for years? Place a hand there and let that fulfilment root you firmly in now.
Soundtrack:
Pick a track that makes you sway, stretch, or own your steps. Honour the momentum that’s already moving through you because there’s no need to push harder.
Action:
Close the door on that chapter. Archive the project, delete the app you never use, burn that journal page you keep rewriting. Do something simple but symbolic that says, “This part is officially done, thanks and aurevoir”.
Nature Cue:
Lie on the earth, lean into a tree, or let the breeze wrap around your shoulders like a scarf from the universe. This is what being fully held by life feels like.
Notice What’s Whole:
What part of you no longer needs a solution, or “working on”? Let that part just be. Completion is your state of being.
viii. Your Impressions
Look at The Fool 22 card in your own deck of the photo at the top. Take a moment to observe to really see and witness it.
What catches your eye? The delicate gold line tracing a fetus waking up to sunrise? The vast ocean below, the night’s purple shadows fading away? That quiet glow of intuition and higher knowing wrapped in violet hues?
What stirs inside? Is it a slow, steady breath of relief? An “Oh, I’m here now?’ Or maybe that odd feeling when you realise you’re not waiting for the next challenge? Let that feeling of home-coming settle. You’ve been here before, but never quite like this.
Now, check in with your body. Are your feet grounded, trusting the earth beneath you? Is your breath open, or caught somewhere between awe and disbelief? Let yourself settle into that sensation.
ix. Intuitive Meaning
If The Fool 22 keeps showing up, ask yourself…
Where am I ready to own my fulfilment without all the disclaimers, downplaying, or humble-brags?
Where have I already arrived but keep pretending I’m still on the road?
What old version of success am I clinging to that no longer fits my shape, soul, or sanity?
What truth about my wholeness am I brave enough to accept?
Applied Insight: A Three-Card Spread for Wise Beginnings:
Where have I already crossed the finish line but refuse to claim the trophy?
What part of me is ready to step into the spotlight and own the stage?
What unapologetic joy is pulling me forward into my next chapter?
